Happy Earth Day 2020
Earth Day of 2020 will mark the 50th anniversary of this special worldwide holiday. It is an incredibly unique day, which reminds us to take care of our planet and respect every inch of it!
The following is a fantastic poem about the rebirth of earth by Edna Frohock, that according to our humble opinion, is the most meaningful and suitable for this year’s celebration…
“Summer, fall, winter, spring,
The seasons rotate as each brings
Its special beauty to this Earth of ours.
Winter’s snow and summer’s flowers;
Frozen rivers will flow come spring,
There is a renewal of everything.”
– Edna Frohock –
This year, due to coronavirus pandemic, we won’t be venturing into great outdoor activities, but we can still celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day digitally, in style! It is soooo pleasant that there are so many digital events that you can follow today!
In Greece, The Greek Ministry of Environment invites all Greek citizens to post in their social media a picture of a Greek landscape or a child’s drawing of earth, this special day. All the pictures will be reposted in Ministry’s social media, so that we all get reminded that even though we “stay home” due to Covid-19, we still remember and protect our “shared home”, planet earth.
Thus, we choose a magical sunset moment of last August, from a small beautiful Cycladic island, Anafi.

In addition, NASA gave us some inspiration ideas, so find out more and choose what you will do this year for mother earth...
Happy EARTH day dear everyone!
