Choose smart & healthy snacks! Choose Greek nuts!

All nuts are good sources of fat, fiber and protein, that make them super foods and healthy pocket-snack which support cell growth and give the body energy.

Most of the fat in nuts is monounsaturated fat, a number of vitamins and minerals, including magnesium and vitamin E, as well as omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fat.

In Greece, we have a variety of local nuts and we prefer them as a healthy snack option all day long. The health benefits of eating nuts are globally known and proved by many studies throughout the years.

Of course, all nuts aren’t the same. For instance, almonds consumed as part of a low-calorie diet may aid weight loss and lower blood pressure in people who are overweight.

In addition, eating a meal with 28 grams of almonds may help lower the rise in blood sugar that happens after a meal by as much as 30% in people with diabetes but not significantly in healthy people.

Also, pistachios may help improve other heart disease risk factors, including blood pressure, weight and oxidative status and may help reduce the rise in blood sugar after a meal.

Another larger study observed that a diet rich in cashews reduced blood pressure and increased levels of “good” HDL cholesterol. As well as hazelnuts, which are an excellent source of antioxidants and also contain heart-healthy nutrients like L-arginine, lowering blood pressure and decreasing “bad” LDL cholesterol levels.

In Greek Brands we have more than 30 product codes, of premium nuts, so as to find whatever tastes and suits you the best!
